For one of our globally leading tech clients we are urgently looking for an experienced Desktop Support Engineer for a long contract based in Amsterdam.

Role Summary
The Engineer will be responsible for providing end-user technical support, ensuring smooth operation of desktop systems, and maintaining IT infrastructure services.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Support:
- Provide assistance to users facing hardware and software issues, ensuring timely resolution.
- Installation & Configuration:
- Set up and configure desktops, peripherals, and software applications.
- Troubleshooting:
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity (remote/on-site).
- System Maintenance:
- Perform updates, upgrades, and backups to maintain system performance.
- Documentation:
- Maintain records of issues, solutions, and configurations; create knowledge base articles.
- User Training:
- Guide users to improve efficiency with systems and applications.
- Collaboration:
- Work with IT teams (network engineers, system analysts) for complex issue resolution.
- Security Management:
- Implement and manage security settings to safeguard systems and data.
