What You'll Own
This isn't a scheduling-and-coordination recruiting role.
You'll own talent acquisition across the U.S., partnering directly with our founders and hiring managers while helping build a world-class recruiting function alongside our team in Europe.
Your job is simple: hire exceptional people.
- Build a World-Class Talent Engine — Own full-cycle recruiting across the business while continuously improving our hiring process, interview experience, employer brand, recruiting operations, and hiring analytics as we scale.
- Find Exceptional People — Build creative sourcing strategies, identify exceptional passive candidates, write compelling outreach, and partner with hiring managers to consistently raise the talent bar across every hire.
- Build the Future of Recruiting — Leverage the latest AI tools, sourcing platforms, and automation to make recruiting dramatically faster, more effective, and a competitive advantage for Shelf.
Ideal Candidate
- Experience — 4+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience at a high-growth technology startup or recruiting agency. Experience hiring both technical and GTM talent is strongly preferred.
- Modern Recruiting Stack — Deep experience with Ashby, LinkedIn Recruiter, and modern sourcing tools. Comfortable leveraging AI-native recruiting workflows using platforms like Juicebox, Claude, ChatGPT, Clay, Ashby AI, Metaview, Gem, SeekOut, or similar tools.
- AI-Native Operator — You're obsessed with finding better ways to recruit. You constantly experiment with the latest AI models, sourcing tools, automation, and workflows, and are always looking for ways to make hiring faster, smarter, and more efficient.

Compensation & Benefits
- Compensation — $130,000–150,000 base salary, annual performance bonus, and meaningful equity
