About Aimbient
Aimbient (formerly Surgical Safety Technologies) is a mission-driven medical technology company engineering the future of procedural care. Our Aimbient Suite is an enterprise ambient AI platform that captures, understands, and transforms procedural data into actionable intelligence to improve safety, quality, compliance, operational efficiency, and education across the procedural environment. Founded in 2015, Aimbient is a private, Series B medical technology company headquartered across New York and Toronto. We're backed by leading healthcare and technology investors, including Santé Ventures and U.S. Venture Partners, and we're at an exciting stage of growth as we scale our AI platform across health systems worldwide.
Position Overview
Aimbient is building out its HR function, and this role sits at the center of it. You'll coordinate the day-to-day operations that keep our New York and Toronto teams running — onboarding, employee records, benefits, HRIS, and equipment — while working closely with leadership on how those processes should evolve. It's an unusually visible seat for a coordinator, with a clear path to owning more as we grow.
What You'll Do
HR Operations
- Coordinate the employee lifecycle: onboarding, employee changes, and offboarding
- Maintain accurate, confidential employee records
- Support day-to-day administration of Rippling, our HRIS
- Serve as a first point of contact for employee HR questions, escalating as needed
- Assist with benefits administration, enrollments, and HR documentation
- Partner with payroll and Finance on employee changes
- Help identify and improve HR processes, and support compliance across both offices
Office and Equipment Support
- Support the NYC office: liaise with building management, help with meeting logistics, and keep the office running smoothly
- Manage laptop and accessory inventory, and ship equipment to new hires in both offices
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree required
- 1–3 years of experience in HR operations, HR administration, recruiting coordination, or a comparable operations/administrative role
- Experience with an HRIS — we use Rippling
- Highly detail-oriented, organized, and discreet with confidential information
- Friendly, professional, and service-minded
- Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of your work
Personal Attributes We Value
- Responsible and dependable
- Kind, friendly, and respectful
- Organized and methodical
- Proactive and solution-oriented
- Excited to grow with the role as our HR function develops
Compensation
The base salary range for this role is $85,000–$95,000 per year. This range reflects the compensation Aimbient reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at the time of posting. Where an individual offer falls within the range depends on job-related factors including experience, skills, and qualifications.
