The Human Resources Manager at LEGACY Motor Club will lead all core HR functions—employee relations, talent acquisition, compliance, performance management, management coaching and development, and culture initiatives in a start-up environment while also leading the Compensation and Benefits Administrator.
The successful candidate must be able to create systems that don’t exist and redesign those that do to ensure we are providing an unrivaled experience for all of our team members. Building an organizational culture that supports our vision, mission, and values will be a key success indicator for our HR Manager.
This is a hands-on role is ideal for an HR leader who thrives in dynamic, fast-paced settings and values both strategy and execution.
Key Responsibilities
HR Business Partnership
- Partner with leaders at all levels to strengthen engagement, performance, and retention
- Provide coaching and guidance on performance management, employee development, and disciplinary actions
- Lead organizational design, workforce planning, and succession planning initiatives
Talent Acquisition & Employee Lifecycle
- Lead full-cycle recruiting, including sourcing, interviewing, and selection
- Manage onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure a seamless employee experience
Employee Relations & Compliance
- Manage and resolve employee relations issues with professionalism and objectivity
- Conduct thorough workplace investigations and recommend appropriate actions
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
- Partner with legal counsel when appropriate to mitigate risk
HR Operations & Administration
- Lead and serve as back up for the Compensation and Benefits Administrator
Culture & Engagement
- Drive initiatives that enhance employee engagement and team culture
- Plan and execute company events, recognition programs, and team-building activities
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, ideally in a manufacturing or distribution center environment
- Experience leading HR for a startup or a quickly growing company
- Strong knowledge of HR practices, employment law, and compliance requirements
- Experience with HRIS platforms (UKG or similar strongly preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
