In this position, you will take ownership of core accounting activities, ensure high-quality financial reporting, and contribute to ongoing improvements in processes and controls.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and execute month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Prepare annual financial statements and coordinate with external auditors during statutory audits
- Handle VAT returns, Intrastat filings, and other regulatory submissions in line with local requirements
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies or aged balances
- Monitor and analyse cash flow, providing insights to support business decisions
- Deliver ad hoc financial analysis to support operational and strategic initiatives
- Identify and implement process improvements, driving efficiency and standardisation
- Collaborate with international stakeholders on group accounting topics and projects
Your profile
- CPA / ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting or audit, ideally within an international environment
- Strong knowledge of Dutch GAAP and IFRS
- Solid experience across general ledger accounting, including AP/AR, reconciliations, and treasury-related activities
- Good understanding of local tax regulations and statutory reporting requirements
- Comfortable working with ERP systems and advanced Excel
- Proactive, hands-on, and able to work independently while taking ownership
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Fluent in English; Dutch is a plus
