Gilde Healthcare is looking for an IT Operations Specialist to further develop and implement its IT strategy in support of its data-driven investment approach. Full time (40 hours/week), 32 hours optional. Utrecht, The Netherlands

Position overview
We are seeking an IT Operations Specialist who enjoys taking ownership of a well-functioning IT environment, while continuously looking for ways to improve, simplify and future-proof it.
This role combines hands-on operational responsibility with a clear opportunity to contribute to broader digital and IT developments within the firm.
You will be based in Utrecht (next to Central Station) and report to the General Counsel and CFO. You will work closely with colleagues across Private Equity, Venture & Growth and support teams, as well as with external IT service providers.
What makes this role interesting is the balance: you are not only running IT, you are also expected to think ahead, spot opportunities, and bring ideas that make the organisation work smarter.
Responsibilities
IT Operations
- Manage daily IT operations and ensure system availability, security and performance
- Coordinate with external IT service providers on infrastructure, hardware and software
- Provide hands-on user support and take ownership of onboarding new employees
- Maintain and further structure IT policies, procedures and documentation
- Ensure a reliable and well-organised workplace environment
IT development & projects
- Support and initiate improvements in systems, tools and workflows
- Take part in digital transformation initiatives, including AI-related developments
- Act as point of contact for IT vendors and manage these relationships
- Facilitate collaboration between teams by improving tooling and processes
Security & compliance
- Strengthen cybersecurity awareness within the organisation
- Support phishing simulations, training and incident handling
- Contribute to compliance-related IT topics and governance
Business interaction
- Work closely with investment teams, operations, finance and compliance
- Understand how the business operates and translate needs into practical IT solutions
Experience and education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field
- 5+ years of experience in IT operations, preferably in a professional services environment
- Strong understanding of Microsoft 365, cloud environments and networks
- Experience with vendor management and project execution
- Familiarity with CRM systems is a plus
- Fluent in English; Dutch is an advantage
