Opportunity Overview:
As a key member of the Americas HR leadership team, the People Operations Manager oversees end-to-end HR operations, full-cycle employee lifecycle management, payroll operations, and HR system optimization. Focused on Workday as the core HRIS, this role manages payroll, onboarding, transfers, promotions, separations, data governance, and compliance across the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and Brazil. The role drives process standardization, automation, and data analytics to improve operational efficiency and support strategic workforce decisions.
Position Location: Culver City, CA office.

What You Will Achieve
HR Operations & Employee Lifecycle Management
- Oversee end-to-end HR processes including onboarding, job changes, promotions, transfers, and separations to ensure compliance, efficiency, and scalability
- Develop and refine standardized HR workflows and documentation to enhance efficiency and employee experience
- Continuously improve core programs including onboarding, offboarding, performance management, and internal mobility
HRIS (Workday) Optimization & Data Governance
- Manage daily administration, configuration, troubleshooting, and enhancement of Workday, ATS, ADP, onboarding platforms, and other HR systems
- Implement data governance practices to ensure accurate, complete, and compliant employee data across regions
- Drive system integration and process automation; build HR dashboards and reports to support workforce planning
- Provide escalated system support and team training to improve system adoption and compliance
Payroll Operations
- Directly manage the payroll team, oversee accurate salary calculation, and coach the team to ensure timely and precise delivery
- Manage biweekly and monthly payroll end-to-end in compliance with local tax and wage laws
- Review timesheets, deductions, bonuses, and other payroll data; resolve discrepancies and inquiries promptly
- Ensure seamless integration between HRIS and payroll systems and drive process improvements
Operational Excellence & Process Transformation
- Lead HR administrative service transformation by standardizing workflows, strengthening operational rigor, and improving service quality
- Establish regional operational metrics to guide service delivery and support the global operating model
- Analyze workflow data and pain points to identify improvement opportunities and drive cross-functional adoption of new processes and tools
Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Lead, coach, and develop the HR Operations team, including performance management
- Collaborate closely with HRBPs, Payroll, IT, Legal, and Finance to ensure seamless HR service delivery
- Provide operational insights and system expertise to leadership to enhance overall HR effectiveness
What You Will Need
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 7–10 years of progressive HR Operations experience in a corporate or multi-location environment
- Deep expertise in employee lifecycle management and end-to-end payroll operations, with proven payroll team management experience
- Advanced proficiency in Workday, including system administration, reporting, configuration, and user support
- Experience in HR data governance, analytics, and system integrations
- Strong knowledge of U.S. labor laws and HR compliance requirements
- Excellent organizational and project management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong analytical mindset to translate HR data into actionable operational insights- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
- High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and operational excellence- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Experience in retail, global, or multi-site organizations highly preferred
