POSITION SUMMARY
Our ideal Manager of Global Retail Marketing is highly organized, able to prioritize and enjoys a fast-paced work environment in the beauty industry. This position will support the Retail Team and report to the Senior Manager of Retail Marketing. The incumbent will also meet monthly with the Senior Manager of Retail Marketing or VP of Retail Marketing to discuss current projects and goal set for the month to come.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for maintaining and updating relevant retail documents as directed by Retail leadership team
- Create and maintain organizational templates, global calendars, global factbook and side by sides as directed by Retail leadership team
- Review category and product sales regularly; create and execute action plans for improved core/focus SKU performance
- Work with Sr. Retail Marketing Director to develop, define strategies for sampling, sets, product assortment by retailer
- Assist in budget creation and management of sampling, set and promotional programs; monitor and report success and ROI
- Contribute to customer selling presentations, business reviews and board decks
- Review and analyze retailer websites and report on trends and newsworthy findings
- Monitor, and report competitive brands, activities, and products by identifying and evaluating product characteristics, market trends and share, pricing, and advertising – across the categories of skincare, color cosmetics, bath & body, and haircare
- Complete retailer setup forms for all accounts
- Partner with Senior Director of Retail Marketing to evaluate brand merchandising for domestic and international accounts to ensure brand is represented at the highest levels
- Support Retail leadership team in creating sales, marketing and educational programs that help drive in-store and online sales
- Support the team with administrative tasks, including ordering and shipping out samples and project management
- Create & submit marketing briefs & serve as the liaison between sales and marketing to ensure timelines and all necessary information is included
- Lead market week presentation for all retailers with cross functional teams, including but not limited to securing comps & ordering market week gratis
- May present seasonal presentations as needed
- Use out-of-the-box thinking and trend research to contribute to team meetings and brainstorming sessions
- Look for ways to improve processes and communicate recommendations to the Retail Team
- Develop and maintain excellent relationships with all customer partners, vendors, and internal Rare Beauty team members
- Other tasks as assigned
REQUIRMENTS
- Bachelors degree or better with specialization in business administration, marketing, or related field
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
- Strong attention to detail with excellent communication skills
- Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Team player that works well with others
- Ability to think ahead, anticipate opportunities and challenges
- Creative and resourceful, good problem solver
- Self-motivated and proactive approach with an appropriate sense of urgency
- Experience in consumer products and/or ecommerce, notably cosmetics or beauty
- Candidates MUST be punctual, professional, positive, polished, and passionate about beauty!
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Domestic and international travel may be required
