Our client is a diversified group active in construction, engineering, real estate, green energy, infrastructure, and logistics projects.
They are currently searching for a Financial Accountant to join their small holding team based in Amsterdam.
In this role, you will work closely with the Finance Manager and take ownership of end-to-end accounting activities for appr. 15 entities in the Netherlands.
Key Responsibilities of the Financial Accountant include:
- Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including AR, AP, and GL
- Deliver timely month-end closings and prepare monthly financial accounts
- Prepare standalone and consolidated financial statements under IFRS and Dutch GAAP
- Handle banking activities, payments, cash movements, and FX revaluations
- Coordinate with external tax advisors on VAT and corporate income tax matters
- Support annual audits, budgeting, and financial planning activities
- Prepare financial reports and presentations for management and board meetings
Requirements:
- A university degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar role
- Solid knowledge of IFRS
- Familiarity with Dutch tax legislation
- Experience within a holding or investment company (preferred)
- Experience with SAP
- Proven ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced, demanding environment, handling a diverse portfolio of entities
- Fluency in English
