Senior Financial Reporting Analyst

Altum Consulting is currently partnering with a leading, global investment firm to hire a Senior Financial Reporting Analyst into their high performing Reporting team based in Amsterdam.
This is a high-impact role within a growing private markets environment, offering broad exposure across fund operations, financial reporting, and internal controls within a highly regulated setting.
You will join a central assurance function that plays a key role in safeguarding financial reporting quality, supporting audits, and strengthening the control framework across a complex international investment platform.
The position offers strong visibility across the business, working closely with finance, risk, and investment teams, as well as senior leadership.
Role & Responsibilities
- Act as a primary contact for external auditors, coordinating audit processes across multiple funds and entities
- Review and challenge financial statements and investor capital accounts across various GAAP frameworks (IFRS, US GAAP, etc.)
- Provide technical accounting guidance and act as a partner to internal finance teams on reporting and control topics
- Support and enhance the internal control environment, including involvement in frameworks such as SOX and ISAE reporting
- Contribute to investor reporting cycles (monthly, quarterly, annual) ensuring accuracy and consistency
- Drive improvements in processes, systems, and automation to support scalability as the business grows
- Participate in cross-functional and strategic projects alongside senior stakeholders
Education & Experience
- 4+ years' experience in audit, assurance, or financial reporting
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and/or US GAAP, with exposure to complex reporting environments
- Experience working with auditors and understanding of control frameworks
- Advanced Excel skills, with exposure to data tools (e.g. Power BI or similar)
- Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and the ability to challenge constructively
- Comfortable operating in an international, fast-paced environment
