We're delighted to exclusively partner with a well-established international organization with a strong presence across multiple markets, operating within a complex and fast-paced environment. We're supporting their search for a Finance & Business Controller, a newly-created position.
Offering a unique combination of financial reporting, FP&A, and advisory exposure, this role is an ideal first or second move from practice.
Alongside ownership of statutory reporting and technical accounting, you will gain hands-on experience in financial planning, performance analysis, and business partnering, making this an excellent platform to develop beyond pure reporting.
Key Responsibilities of the Finance & Business Controller:
- Lead the preparation and delivery of statutory financial statements in line with IFRS and Dutch GAAP
- Take ownership of monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting cycles
- Perform detailed P&L and balance sheet analysis, including performance and variance insights
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes, providing financial input and challenge where needed
- Translate financial results into clear insights to support strategic and operational decisions
- Assess and implement accounting treatment for new standards and complex transactions
- Partner with stakeholders across the business to improve financial visibility and performance tracking
- Act as a key contact for auditors and support the year-end audit process
- Drive continuous improvements in reporting, planning, and control processes
Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or similar
- Qualified accountant (RA / ACA / ACCA / CA)
- 6–8 years’ experience, ideally combining Big 4 and industry exposure
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and Dutch GAAP
- Experience in financial reporting and exposure to FP&A or business partnering
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders
- Fluent in English (Dutch is advantageous)
