We're partnering with a growing global financial services firm that is expanding its HR team by adding a Human Resources Business Partner. This is a newly created role and an exciting opportunity to help build out the HR Business Partner function. This person will partner with leaders across the firm's U.S. non-investment teams, supporting approximately 250–300 employees across multiple office locations.
This is a highly visible position that will work closely with senior leadership and play a key role in shaping the employee experience, driving talent initiatives, and building scalable HR processes as the organization continues to grow.
What you'll be doing:
As a trusted advisor to business leaders, you'll partner across the full employee lifecycle while helping develop HR strategies that support business objectives and organizational growth.
Responsibilities include:
- Partnering with senior leaders to provide strategic HR guidance and support organizational goals
- Coaching managers on employee relations matters, performance issues, investigations, and policy interpretation
- Leading complex employee relations cases while partnering with Legal when appropriate
- Supporting workforce planning, organizational design, succession planning, and talent strategy
- Partnering with Talent Acquisition on hiring plans, interview processes, and onboarding initiatives
- Driving performance management, promotion cycles, talent reviews, and leadership development programs
- Building strong relationships with employees through regular check-ins, stay interviews, and ongoing engagement initiatives
- Analyzing employee feedback and identifying trends to improve engagement, retention, and culture
- Supporting internal mobility, transfers, relocations, and employee transitions
- Developing and improving HR processes that will scale alongside a growing organization
- Managing and mentoring HR team members while helping shape the future structure of the HR Business Partner function
What we're looking for
- 15+ years of progressive HR Business Partner experience
- Financial services experience is required, with hedge fund experience strongly preferred
- Experience supporting senior leaders in a fast-paced, high-performing environment
- Strong employee relations experience, including investigations and coaching managers through complex situations
- Experience partnering on organizational design, workforce planning, talent management, and succession planning
- Proven ability to build HR processes and drive continuous improvement
- Experience working within a global organization
- Previous people management experience is required
- Strong executive presence with exceptional communication and relationship-building skills
- Self-motivated, collaborative, and comfortable working with a high degree of autonomy
Compensation & Schedule
- Hybrid schedule: 4 days in the office, 1 day remote
- Standard business hours
- Target base salary of $150,000–$200,000, with total compensation targeted up to approximately $400,000
