Job Summary:
Assists the HR Manager by administering policies and procedures related to all phases of human resources. Acts as main point of contact for all benefits inquiries. Responsible for Employee Relations and other HR support functions for Chicago location as well (up to 25% overnight travel required).
Essential Functions:
· Responsible for day-to-day benefits administration and compliance.
· With the direction of the HR Manager, Employee is responsible for benefits eligibility and orientation, insurance enrollments and terminations, processing QLEs, and coordinating assistance with carriers and brokers
· Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting
· Keeps records of benefits plans participation such as insurance and pension plan, personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting
· Responds to inquiries regarding benefit eligibility policies, procedures, and programs
· Administers performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within organization
· Perform initial investigations related to harassment, discrimination, and other issues
· Administers benefits programs such as life, health, dental and disability insurance, pension plans, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, and employee assistance
· Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related business field, preferred
· 3 years or more of previous HR Generalist experience;
· Bilingual English/Vietnamese
· 2 years of manufacturing facility experience, preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
· Paycor HRIS experience a huge plus
· HR Certification (HRCI, SHRM) a plus
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
· HR Knowledge related to HR Laws
· Broad HR Knowledge; benefits, workers' compensation, investigations, orientation, employee relations
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Working Conditions:
· Cold temperature-controlled and damp environment, when inside the plant
· Willing to work flexible hours to include after hours or occasional weekend work
