Our client is seeking a Head of Human Resources for an excellent hybrid position located in the Dallas/Ft. Worth, TX (DFW) area. Responsibilities include:
- Serve as the senior HR leader and strategic partner to executive leadership and field operations teams. Directly manage a small HR team (3 direct reports) in a player-coach capacity.
- Partner with the CEO on people strategy, change management, and key HR initiatives aligned to business goals.
- Provide hands-on leadership across payroll, benefits, compensation, talent acquisition, employee relations, organizational development, workforce planning, and compliance while building scalable processes and systems.
- Collaborate with business leaders on workforce planning, upskilling, talent pipelines, and leadership development.
- Develop HR strategies and infrastructure that match the business roadmap; interpret HR metrics to drive solutions.
- Advise senior leaders on organizational transformation, work redesign, automation, digital strategies, and complex people matters.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations; align HR practices with safety culture and initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (MBA preferred).
- Preferred certifications: SHRM-CP/PHR or SHRM-SCP/SPHR.
- 10+ years of progressive HR experience supporting multiple business functions, with at least 2 years leading an HR team and managing direct reports.
- Demonstrated success scaling HR functions and guiding organizations through periods of significant change and transition.
- Broad expertise across payroll, benefits, compensation design/implementation, organizational design, workforce planning, talent management, recruiting, organizational and leadership development, change management, labor relations, and learning & development.
- Working knowledge of key regulations including OSHA, FLSA, EEO, ERISA, WARN, FMLA, and ADA.
- Strong sense of urgency and accountability with the ability to adapt quickly to shifting business priorities while maintaining quality and accuracy.
- Proven ability to build effective relationships at all levels and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Proficient with HRIS and payroll systems; Workday experience and implementation knowledge a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for engaging stakeholders across all levels.
- Ability to travel up to 25%
