About Rolfson Oil
Rolfson Oil is one of the largest privately held oilfield services companies in North America, specializing in drilling fluids, wellbore services, and technical solutions across major U.S. basins. With a field-forward, operationally intensive business model, Rolfson moves fast and expects its support functions to move with it. The HR Business Partner will be a key partner in sustaining that momentum.
Position Overview
Rolfson Oil is looking for an experienced HR Business Partner to serve as the primary HR point of contact for designated business units and functional groups at its Addison, TX headquarters. This role is a true generalist seat — you'll operate across the full HR lifecycle, from employee relations and performance management to compliance, workforce planning, and organizational development. You'll work closely with frontline managers and senior leadership to build a high-performance, people-first culture in a fast-moving oilfield services environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the day-to-day HR partner for assigned client groups, building trusted relationships with managers and employees at all levels
- Advise and coach managers on employee relations issues, performance improvement, corrective action, and terminations — handling situations with sound judgment and appropriate documentation
- Lead and support the full performance management cycle, including goal-setting, mid-year reviews, and year-end calibrations
- Partner with Talent Acquisition on workforce planning, headcount approvals, and onboarding integration for new hires
- Manage and resolve employee relations matters, conducting investigations as needed and ensuring consistent application of company policies
- Support compensation reviews, merit cycles, and ad hoc pay equity analysis in partnership with HR leadership
- Drive compliance with federal, state, and local employment law; maintain working knowledge of FLSA, FMLA, ADA, and OSHA requirements relevant to oilfield services operations
- Identify trends and gaps through data analysis; recommend and implement programs that address turnover, engagement, or workforce capability
- Support change management initiatives, organizational redesigns, and leadership transitions
- Maintain accurate HRIS data and support HR reporting and analytics needs
- Contribute to the development and rollout of HR policies, programs, and process improvements
Qualifications
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2–3 years in an HR Business Partner or HR Generalist role supporting a sizable employee population
- Experience in energy, oilfield services, manufacturing, or another operationally intensive industry strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex employee relations matters independently and with appropriate discretion
- Strong working knowledge of employment law and HR compliance requirements
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, change-oriented environment with competing priorities
- Proficient in HRIS platforms; experience with PayCom, Workday, or similar systems a plus
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills — equally effective with field managers and executive leadership
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required; PHR or SHRM-CP certification a plus
Compensation & Structure
- Full-time, exempt position
- On-site Monday–Friday at the Addison, TX office
- Competitive base salary commensurate with experience; full benefits package including health, dental, vision, 401(k)
