JOB SUMMARY
The Director of HRIS is responsible for overseeing the strategic direction, implementation, and optimization of Human Resources Information Systems. This role ensures that HR technology solutions align with business objectives, enhance efficiency, and support workforce planning and decision-making. The Director will work closely with HR leadership, IT, and other stakeholders to optimize the functionality and performance of HRIS.
JOB DUTIES
- System Optimization: Identify opportunities to enhance the functionality and performance of existing HR systems. Implement upgrades and improvements to streamline HR processes and increase efficiency.
- Data Integrity and Security: Ensure the accuracy, security, and integrity of HR data. Implement and maintain data governance policies and procedures.
- Reporting and Analytics: Develop and deliver insightful HR reports and analytics to support data-driven decision-making. Provide training and support to HR staff on the use of HRIS tools for reporting and analysis.
- Project Management: Lead HRIS projects from inception to completion, including system implementations, upgrades, and integrations. Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
- Vendor Management: Collaborate with HRIS vendors to ensure the delivery of high-quality services and support. Negotiate contracts and manage vendor relationships.
- Training and Development: Provide training and guidance to HR staff and other stakeholders on the use of HRIS tools and best practices. Develop user manuals and documentation.
- Compliance: Ensure HRIS systems and processes comply with relevant regulations and standards. Maintain awareness of industry trends and legal requirements related to HR technology.
- Collaboration: Work closely with HR leadership, IT, and other departments to ensure HRIS systems support organizational objectives. Facilitate communication and collaboration among stakeholders.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in HRIS management, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience with HR technology platforms such as Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM, ADP, and similar.

- Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to identify issues, develop solutions, and implement improvements.
- Project Management: Expertise in project management, including planning, execution, and monitoring. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail and accuracy in managing HR data and systems.
- Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing technology and business environments. Willingness to learn and implement new HRIS tools and practices.
- Technical Skills: Expertise in HRIS platforms, data management, and analytics. Proficiency in software such as SAP SuccessFactors, Workday, Oracle HCM, or similar systems.
