Recruiting / HR Specialist

Location: 3+ Days in Office, NYC - Midtown
Mid-sized professional services firm is seeking a Recruiting/HR Specialist to manage and support campus and lateral recruiting through initial life cycle period of new hires.
Responsibilities
- Manage the candidate process including being first point of contact, reviewing resumes, conducting first-round interviews, and working with recruiting agencies, candidates, and partners to schedule interviews
- Coordinate with core campus schools for recruiting including career fairs, interview schedules and small group gatherings
- Work closely with recruiting agencies, building rapport, scheduling, and negotiating contracts
- Create/maintain job descriptions and post open positions
- Partner with executives across the firm
- Conduct research to develop potential candidate pipeline lists
- Create offer letters, coordinate new hire orientations, and conduct new hire check-ins
- Conduct HR reporting and coordinate employee engagement events
- Take on ad hoc projects as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources or something comparable
- 3-5 years of human resources or recruiting/recruiting coordinator experience required
- Experience in consulting, finance, legal or similar is preferred
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills and tech-savvy (including AI proficiency) plus experience with applicant tracking systems required
- Detail oriented and have a proven track record in a fast paced environment
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Professional with the ability to maintain confidentiality
