Our client, an industry leading multi-strategy hedge fund, is looking to hire a HR Manager for their NYC office as the firm undergoes a period of rapid expansion.
This is a newly created hire reporting into the CHRO, who is based overseas – this is a unique opportunity to play a key role as the first US HR Manager in a highly autonomous and visible role.
The firm has launched multiple new investment platforms in the past 24 months – the HR Manager can take ownership of the delivery of people strategy whilst also acting as the engine for the execution of people operations across all areas of the employee lifecycle for the New York office. The hire will take on Business partnering responsibilities working with Business Line leads to manage talent development and workforce planning, manage governance and HR compliance frameworks and work to ensure that people strategy is aligned with business growth aims, acting as a key player working to provide informed input to the CHRO as HR strategy is formulated. The hire will also have the opportunity to drive cross-regional initiatives aimed at establishing best practice when it comes to onboarding talent acquisition and performance management as well as the chance to work on AI and automation focused initiatives.
Ideal candidates will bring strong experience as HR Managers, HR Business Partners or HR Officers with a strong Generalist skillset at a leading bank, asset manager or private equity firm. The hire must be also to work with stakeholders at all levels and be willing to scale a learning curve in a fast paced but very collaborative and flat structured environment. Crucially, the successful candidate will be able to work autonomously and step up into a decision-making position within 6 – 18 months.
This is a business-critical hire, with a $300K TC package possible in year-one. The firm also offers what is arguable a market leading employee benefits package.
