About the Role
We’re seeking an organized and proactive Project Assistant to support our R&D team’s day-to-day operations. This is a great entry-level opportunity for someone eager to gain exposure to the product development process in a hands-on engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Support R&D project managers and engineers with scheduling, documentation, and coordination tasks
• Help facilitate Agile/Scrum processes — maintaining backlogs, scheduling ceremonies, and tracking sprint progress
• Track project timelines, action items, and deliverables, flagging delays or risks
• Organize and maintain project files, technical documentation, and meeting notes
• Help coordinate communication between internal teams and external vendors/suppliers
• Assist with procurement of prototype materials, parts, or lab supplies
• Prepare status reports, presentations, and project summaries
• Help organize testing schedules and lab logistics
• Take on ad hoc administrative and research tasks to support the team
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) — Engineering, Business, or related field preferred
• 0-2 years of professional experience; internships in an engineering or technical environment a plus
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Comfortable using project management and office tools (e.g., MS Office/Google Workspace, project tracking software like Jira or Trello)
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Genuine interest in engineering, product development, or R&D processes
Nice to Have
• Exposure to data centre or industrial hardware environments
• Basic familiarity with Agile/Scrum frameworks
• Familiarity with CAD viewers or basic technical drawings
