Our client is an international manufacturing company based in Amsterdam, operating across global supply chains with a strong focus on sustainability and innovation.
They are looking for an Senior Accountant to join their finance team and take ownership of a broad range of accounting responsibilities.
Your responsibilities
- Handle day-to-day accounting operations in SAP, including General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Asset Accounting, Travel Expenses, and daily bank reconciliations
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes within tight deadlines
- Oversee cash management, including supplier payment preparation and monitoring of customer collections
- Assist with the preparation and submission of local tax filings, including VAT and Intrastat
- Ensure compliance with corporate tax requirements and local regulations
- Provide ad hoc financial analyses to support business decision-making
- Identify and implement process improvements with a focus on automation and digitalisation
- Manage payroll processing and ensure accuracy and timeliness
- Act as a key point of contact for external auditors and regulatory authorities
Your profile
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business (Bachelor's or Master's)
- Relevant experience in general accounting, ideally in an industrial setting or Big Four firm
- Experience with statutory accounts preparation and external audit support
- Solid knowledge of Dutch VAT, Corporate Tax, and Payroll regulations
- Strong understanding of Dutch GAAP and IFRS
- Comfortable handling confidential data with discretion
- Strong analytical and numerical skills
- Fluency in Dutch is required for this position
