Position Overview
The Seasonal Hiring & Training Advisor plays a critical role in supporting the successful execution of the Distribution Center's seasonal workforce strategy. This position partners closely with Distribution Center leadership, Human Resources, and DC teams to coordinate seasonal recruiting, onboarding, and training activities that ensure the DC is staffed and prepared to meet peak business demands.
This role serves as the primary coordinator for seasonal hiring efforts, driving accountability to hiring timelines, supporting candidate selection activities, facilitating onboarding readiness, and ensuring seasonal employees receive effective training and development. The Advisor monitors progress toward seasonal staffing goals, provides reporting and insights, and supports continuous improvement of seasonal hiring and training processes.
Responsibilities:
Seasonal Hiring & Workforce Readiness
- Coordinate the Distribution Center's seasonal hiring strategy, partnering with leadership and Human Resources to achieve staffing goals and operational readiness.
- Develop and maintain seasonal hiring calendars, recruiting plans, hiring tools, and candidate pipelines.
- Manage seasonal recruiting activities, including application review, phone screenings, interviews, hiring events, and candidate communications.
- Participate in the DC Seasonal Hiring Taskforce and provide visibility into progress, risks, and hiring goal attainment.
Onboarding & Training- Coordinate new hire onboarding activities, including orientation scheduling, onboarding readiness, and compliance requirements.
- Monitor and support completion of I-9 documentation and employment eligibility requirements.
- Partner with department leaders to develop and execute seasonal training plans that prepare associates for success.
- Track training completion, monitor progress against training objectives, and ensure consistency across Distribution Center departments.
- Identify and implement improvements to onboarding, training, and workforce development processes.
Reporting & Continuous Improvement- Develop and maintain reporting, dashboards, and communications related to seasonal hiring, onboarding, and training performance.
- Analyze workforce metrics and provide recommendations to support staffing readiness, operational performance, and future seasonal planning.
- Conduct seasonal associate feedback and exit survey programs, translating insights into actionable improvements.
- Support workforce planning initiatives and other projects that enhance the Distribution Center's seasonal staffing strategy.
Our Ideal Candidate Will Have:- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in Distribution Center operations, training, workforce planning, administrative support, or related functions.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and project coordination skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with associates, leaders, Human Resources, and cross-functional partners.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a continuous improvement mindset.
