The Role
We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join a dynamic and high-performing finance team. This role is critical in overseeing financial reporting, controls, and compliance across a diverse real estate portfolio. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical accounting expertise, proven controlling experience, and deep knowledge of the real estate sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee all financial controlling activities, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting cycles
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP)
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes across multiple assets and entities
- Implement and maintain robust financial controls and governance frameworks
- Partner with asset management, operations, and investment teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making
- Oversee consolidation of multiple entities and complex structures typical within real estate portfolios
- Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and capital expenditure across assets
- Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies
- Drive process improvements and automation initiatives within the finance function
- Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- Professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CA or equivalent) preferred
- Proven experience in a Financial Controller or similar role
- Mandatory experience within the real estate / property sector (investment, development, or asset management)
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards (IFRS/GAAP)
- Experience managing multi-entity structures and consolidations
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
- Strong leadership capabilities with experience managing teams
- Advanced proficiency in financial systems and Excel
