Junior IT Engineer

As a Junior Secure IT Environment Officer, you will support the management and operation of highly secure IT environments within a complex enterprise infrastructure. You will work closely with infrastructure, network, and security teams to ensure that systems, access requests, and infrastructure changes comply with internal security standards and operational procedures.
This role is ideal for a junior IT professional with an interest in IT infrastructure, networking, security, and compliance who wants to grow within a secure enterprise environment.
What You Will Do
- Review and support infrastructure and network-related requests such as firewall changes, connectivity requests, and access requests.
- Verify request completeness and ensure alignment with security procedures and standards.
- Perform compliance and operational checks within secure IT environments.
- Support documentation, audit preparation, and evidence collection for internal reviews.
- Track operational tasks, follow-ups, and approvals using ticketing and workflow systems.
- Coordinate with infrastructure engineers, architects, and security stakeholders to resolve issues and progress requests.
- Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and operational records.
- Escalate deviations, risks, or policy gaps through established procedures.
- Participate in operational meetings and support daily secure environment activities.
What We Are Looking For
- MBO/HBO degree in IT, Infrastructure, Networking, or a related field.
Basic understanding of:
- IP addressing, ports, and protocols
- Networking and segmented environments
- Firewall concepts and access management
- Familiarity with ticketing systems and operational IT processes.
- Strong attention to detail and structured working style.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to follow procedures and work within secure environments.
- Team-oriented mindset with willingness to learn and grow.
