Role: Senior Data Scientist – Generative AI

Job Description:
We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist with strong expertise in Generative AI to support the development and optimization of AI-driven digital assistant solutions. This role requires a combination of advanced technical skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to translate product requirements into scalable, production-ready systems.
The ideal candidate will work cross-functionally with product, engineering, and analytics teams to evaluate, deploy, and continuously improve AI models in a customer-facing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Work independently to understand stakeholder needs and translate high-level product requirements into technical solutions
- Monitor and evaluate emerging Generative AI models, benchmarking them against defined performance, latency, and cost metrics
- Conduct systematic model evaluations to support selection, optimization, and continuous improvement of AI systems
- Apply industry best practices in Generative AI to enhance solution quality and efficiency
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, production-grade AI systems and services
- Ensure robust documentation of methodologies, experiments, and system performance
- Communicate insights, progress, and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Collaborate within Agile teams to deliver iterative improvements and high-quality outcomes
Requirements
- Experience as a Data Scientist, Machine Learning Engineer, or similar role
- Proven experience working in Agile environments with cross-functional teams
- Strong track record in developing, deploying, and scaling AI/ML systems in production
Technical Skills
- Advanced proficiency in Python, including object-oriented programming and writing maintainable, production-grade code
- Experience with Generative AI technologies and frameworks
- Strong understanding of model evaluation, benchmarking, and performance optimization (including latency and cost considerations)
- Experience with MLOps practices, including CI/CD for machine learning
- Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience building and integrating APIs for model deployment
- Familiarity with additional programming languages is a plus
