What you should know: Mulberry is partnering with a well-known travel services company that has been passionately serving customers for over 100 years, rooted in a deep commitment to exceptional service and long-lasting relationships, to hire an HR Generalist. You’ll report to the HR Manager and support all HR functions with core pieces including benefits, leaves, worker’s compensation, performance management, and more. The ideal candidate is collaborative, team oriented, professional, and approachable.
A day in the life:
- Participate in employee relations resolutions, with support from HR leadership.
- Respond to and/or route employee and managerial Human Resources related queries, ensuring a positive employee experience.
- Perform recruiting and onboarding activities in partnership with the Talent Acquisition and Development Specialists.
- Work directly with employees and benefits providers to enter benefits enrollments, qualified status changes, and answer and resolve both basic and complex claim/coverage questions.
- Actively participate and manage benefits open enrollment in both administration and employee communications.
- Support administration of routine protected leave programs including, but not limited to, Oregon Sick Leave, Family Medical Leave, Oregon Family Leave, Americans with Disabilities Act, and Workers’ Compensation.
- Administer exit process including employee communications, exit surveys, benefits options, and coordination with third-party COBRA benefits administrator. Identify exit interview trends and make recommendations for next steps.
- Process documents and complete checklists related to people status changes (e.g. new hires, promotions, salary changes, terminations).
Your areas of knowledge and expertise:
- 3+ years of well-rounded HR experience
- High attention to detail, organized, personable, professional, and approachable
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now a plus
Compensation and Benefits: $65,000 - $70,000 annually with healthcare benefits, 401k plan with an employer match, long term disability coverage, life insurance, vacation and sick time, and a public transit or parking stipend.
