Trade Marketing Manager
Job Mission
As Trade Marketing Manager Netherlands, you are responsible for the local deployment, execution and performance of the Trade Marketing strategy on the Dutch market, in close alignment with the Benelux Trade Marketing Lead.
This role requires a strong and proven Trade Marketing expertise, combining strategic understanding, operational excellence and field execution. You will act as the local Trade Marketing reference for the Netherlands, ensuring that brand strategies are translated into high impact, perfectly executed activations across channels.
The position sits at the crossroads of Marketing and Sales, reporting directly to the Trade Marketing Manager Benelux.
Responsibilities Of The Role
Trade Marketing Strategy Deployment Netherlands
- Deploy the Benelux Trade Marketing strategy on the Dutch market in line with brand priorities.
- Translate brand and category strategies into locally relevant activation plans.
- Act as the primary Trade Marketing contact for the Netherlands, ensuring strong alignment between Marketing and Sales.
Activations Development & Execution Excellence
- Lead the end to end execution of Trade Marketing activations across on trade and off trade channels.
- Oversee the full activation cycle: briefing, production, implementation, field execution and post activation review.
- Monitor budgets, timelines and deliverables to ensure efficient project delivery.
- Guarantee excellence in execution at point of sale (visibility, merchandising, brand presence, quality standards).
- Be regularly present in the field to monitor execution, support sales teams and ensure activation effectiveness.
- Manage multiple Trade Marketing projects simultaneously with strong organizational discipline.
Sales Interface & Commercial Support
- Work in close partnership with Sales teams to support key accounts and priority customers.
- Present and recommend Trade Marketing activation plans to customers.
- Support the commercial teams in securing activation agreements and ensuring flawless in-market execution.
- Act as a business partner to Sales, bringing structured Trade Marketing solutions to commercial challenges.
Performance Tracking & Reporting
- Track and analyse activation performance (KPIs, sell out impact, ROI).
- Deliver clear, structured reporting and insights using Excel and PowerPoint.
- Identify improvement opportunities and provide recommendations to enhance future activations.
Candidates Profile
- 3–4 years of solid experience in Trade Marketing/Sales, ideally expertise in Trade Marketing activation design and execution, beyond pure field execution.
- Master’s degree in Business, Marketing or related field.
- Proven ability to manage complex activations across channels.
- Strong understanding of Sales dynamics and customer expectations.
- Highly hands-on profile with strong executional rigor.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to operate autonomously on a local market while reporting clearly and effectively.
- Fluent English & Dutch required.
- French is a plus.
