🌱 Head of Talent – Founding Role | Mission‑Led Tech Startup
Macmillan Davies is partnering with a purpose‑driven start-up, and we’re looking for an exceptional Head of Talent to help build the team that will make it happen.

Salary range, $180,000 - $200,000
This is a foundational role for someone who loves people, thrives in startup environments, and knows how to build a recruiting function from zero to scale. You’ll work directly with the CEO to shape hiring strategy, design processes, and personally lead the search for the exceptional talent who will help deliver their mission.
What You’ll Do:
Own and manage the entire recruiting process, hiring 25–30 people across engineering, product, design, operations, and leadership in your first nine months.
Build their recruiting infrastructure from scratch, including implementing an ATS, establishing scalable processes, and training interviewers.
Create proactive, network‑driven sourcing strategies to engage top‑tier talent beyond the open market.
Partner with the CEO and leadership on hiring plans, organisational design, and compensation.
Operate hands‑on as the sole talent partner for the first 6–12 months before building a team.
We’re Looking For:
6+ years’ experience in full‑cycle recruiting or equivalent experience as a founder/VC talent partner.
Proven track record building talent functions across multiple disciplines in tech/startup environments.
Deep understanding of sourcing systems and ATS setup.
A natural connector with creative instincts for engaging passive talent.
Someone energised by purpose and motivated by impact.
