Position Overview
As the company enters a rapid growth phase in key European markets, the Junior Finance Business Partner (BP) plays a pivotal role in bridging finance and business operations. This is a business-facing finance role, not a traditional accounting position, focused on driving profitable growth through financial insight, risk control, and cross-functional collaboration.
You will directly support the Head of Finance and partner closely with Sales, Marketing, Operations, COE, and Shared Service Center (SSC) teams to ensure business expansion is executed with sustainable profitability, controlled financial risk, and operational efficiency.
This role offers high visibility, direct exposure to pricing strategy and dealer risk management in emerging markets, and a clear pathway to grow into a Senior Finance Business Partner or Commercial Finance leadership role.
Key Responsibilities
Pricing & Profitability Analysis (Core Responsibility)
- Support vehicle pricing simulations for new model launches and market-specific promotions.
- Build, maintain, and update comprehensive vehicle and spare parts profitability models.
- Perform price sensitivity analysis, margin impact modeling, and scenario planning.
- Analyze gross margin trends across channels (direct, dealer, online) and product lines.
Commercial Policy & Incentive Management
- Model and evaluate the financial impact of dealer incentive schemes, subsidies, and interest support programs.
- Monitor policy execution and conduct variance analysis between planned vs. actual spend.
- Recommend adjustments to optimize ROI and align incentives with strategic objectives.
Dealer Financial Assessment & Risk Control
- Conduct financial and operational risk assessments for dealers, including review of financial statements, liquidity position, and contract terms.
- Participate in dealer onboarding financial scoring and credit limit recommendations.
- Monitor dealer payment behavior, financing usage, repayment patterns, and KPIs (e.g., gross margin, inventory turnover days, DMS data).
- Identify early warning signs of financial distress and propose mitigation actions.
- Prepare and submit financing-related documentation to banks to ensure smooth transaction settlement.
Budgeting, Forecasting & Variance Analysis
- Support annual budget preparation and quarterly rolling forecasts.
- Analyze variances between actuals, budget, and forecast across revenue, margin, and operating expenses.
- Track policy cost trends and margin evolution to inform strategic decisions.
- Provide actionable insights to optimize spending and improve financial performance.
Cash Flow & Treasury Support
- Verify and reconcile financing interest invoices, prepayments, automatic deductions, and corporate credit card usage.
- Oversee expense allocation and posting processes to ensure accurate and timely cash flow reporting.
- Prepare weekly/monthly cash flow statements and support liquidity planning.
Ledger, Accruals & Tax Compliance
- Maintain accurate ledgers for rebates, accruals, extended warranties, and other financial obligations
- Ensure timely and accurate invoice posting and reconciliation with SSC teams
- Compile supporting documentation for tax filings and coordinate with external tax agents to ensure full compliance
Cross-functional Collaboration & Process Improvement
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Operations to provide data-driven financial insights for commercial decisions.
- Collaborate with COE and SSC teams to streamline financial processes and improve system efficiency.
- Participate in digital transformation and automation projects (e.g., SAP, Power BI, Excel automation).
Profile & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
- 2–3 years of experience in Netherlands in Financial Analysis, Commercial Finance, or FP&A, preferably in the automotive industry.
- Advanced Excel skills required – complex modeling, scenario analysis, pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, macros.
- Proficiency in SAP or other ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, NetSuite).
- Experience with data analysis tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.) is a strong plus.
- Solid understanding of financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) and accounting principles.
- Fluent in Dutch and English. Mandarin Chinese is a plus.
