Human Resources Business Partner Role in Los Angeles, CA (90067)
Position Summary:
The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) plays a key strategic and operational role in supporting clinical research sites across the Pacific Coast and Central regions. This position collaborates closely with site and corporate leadership to drive initiatives related to employee relations, performance management, workforce planning, and organizational culture. The HRBP ensures consistent HR practices and fosters a positive work environment across multiple locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary HR contact for leaders and employees across designated sites in the Pacific Coast and Central U.S.
- Manage the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, employee engagement, performance management, and offboarding.
- Advise managers on a wide range of HR issues such as policy interpretation, employee development, and conflict resolution.
- Partner with leadership to assess workforce needs and implement strategic HR solutions that align with business objectives.
- Collaborate with recruitment and HR functional teams to support hiring, retention, and career development initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations, with a strong emphasis on California-specific employment law.
- Lead or support investigations and ensure fair, consistent handling of employee relations matters.
- Promote an inclusive, supportive workplace culture that reflects the organization’s values.
- Leverage data and HR metrics to guide decision-making and identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Contribute to HR projects, initiatives, and change management efforts across the organization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a multi-site or clinical research setting.
- In-depth knowledge of employment law and HR practices, particularly in California.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and coaching skills.
- Proven ability to influence and build strong relationships at all organizational levels.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- HR certification (PHR or SHRM-CP) preferred.
- Willingness to travel regionally up to 20–30%.

- Pay: $100,000 - $120,000 (Dependent on background and years of experience)
