Role: Desktop Support Engineer
Location: Breda, Netherlands
Duration: Contract / FTE
Language: Dutch (Native / Bilingual)
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first- and second-level support for desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
- Respond to service requests and incidents via the ticketing system, phone, or in person.
- Install, upgrade, and maintain operating systems (Windows/macOS/Linux) and software applications.
- Basic understanding of enterprise LAN/WAN networks and the ability to perform smart-hand activities under guidance.
- Hands-on experience with installing, troubleshooting, and repairing desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
- Set up and configure new employee workstations, including user accounts and permissions.
- Maintain asset inventory and ensure accurate documentation of IT equipment.
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding of employees from a technical perspective.
- Support remote users with VPN, remote desktop, and connectivity issues.
- Collaborate with other IT teams on escalated issues and project-related tasks.
- Follow security protocols and assist with antivirus, patching, and data protection policies.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in macOS or Linux environments.
- Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Office 365, and basic networking concepts.
- Familiarity with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow, Zendesk, or JIRA.
- Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and remote management tools (e.g., SCCM, Intune, JAMF).
- Experience with IT ticketing tools (preferably ServiceNow), Mobile Device Management (MDM),
- Microsoft Teams, M365, and OneDrive.
Working Conditions:
- On-site support is required.
- Occasional lifting of equipment (up to 25 lbs).
- Flexible schedule or after-hours support may be required during maintenance windows or emergencies.
