Finance Business Partner, Utrecht
In this role, you will be responsible for financial business partnering across three key areas: Foodservice in the Netherlands and the full businesses in Belgium and France. You will work closely with commercial stakeholders to drive performance, challenge decisions, and provide actionable insights.This is a highly visible, hands-on role where you will combine strong financial expertise with a commercial mindset and stakeholder engagement across markets.
Role and Responsibilities
Reporting to the Finance Director for Netherlands, Belgium, and France, your responsibilities will include:
- Acting as the primary finance partner for Foodservice in Netherlands and full Belgium and France businesses;
- Driving performance dialogue and supporting decision-making with clear financial insights;
- Leading forecasting, budgeting, and long-term planning across your areas of responsibility;
- Owning and ensuring high-quality month-end closing and financial reporting;
- Monitoring profitability, customer performance, and trade spend across markets;
- Supporting and challenging the business on pricing, promotions, and commercial investments;
- Leading all financial aspects of tenders and key customer negotiations;
- Actively participating in monthly business reviews and commercial forums;
- Identifying risks and opportunities and translating these into actionable plans;
- Delivering ad-hoc analysis and business cases to support strategic initiatives;
- Continuously improving reporting, tools, and financial processes.
Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for a commercially driven finance professional with a proactive and hands-on mindset. The ideal candidate:
- Holds a Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field;
- Has approximately 3–6 years of relevant experience, preferably within Sales or Commercial Finance;
- Demonstrates strong analytical capabilities and ability to turn insights into action;
- Has excellent stakeholder management and communication skills;
- Is a team player with a positive, pragmatic, and solution-oriented mindset;
- Is highly proficient in Excel; experience with SAP/BW and PowerPoint is a plus;
- Speaks and writes English fluently (French is a strong advantage).
