Sales Manager Europe
Location: Netherlands/UK
We're working with a global leader in food, beverage and specialty packaging to hire a Sales Manager responsible for their commercial operations in Europe - a high-ownership role covering the region's key accounts and growth strategy, reporting into the VP of Sales.
You'll build multi-year account plans, convert new business across European markets, run senior-level business reviews, and work cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Finance and Operations. As the sole sales lead for some of the biggest brands in foodservice in Europe. The role would suit someone who operates autonomously rather than through a large team.
Key Responsibilities
- Owns the sales strategy for European market, building multi-year account plans and pipelines for stability and growth
- Identifies and converts new business across European markets, growing share and expanding into white space
- Keeps commercial, operational and service delivery on track, working with Supply Chain, Operations and Customer Service to close any gaps
- Leads senior-level business reviews and joint business planning with customers
- Acts as the internal voice of the customer, feeding their needs into product development, capacity planning and investment decisions
- Manages contract compliance, margin and account profitability
- Drives pricing performance and data-driven reporting with Finance, and brings country-specific pricing insight back to the business
- Supports new product launches and manages pricing, portals and item set-up as needed
Critical Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or a related field
- 7+ years of consultative B2B sales experience - packaging, foodservice, franchise or FMCG backgrounds all work
- Track record managing multinational or cross-border accounts and negotiating complex agreements
- Strong CRM, pipeline analytics and sales performance management skills
- Comfortable driving execution cross-functionally in a matrixed, global organisation
- Solid grasp of RFP processes, forecasting and market analysis
- Self-reliant, organised and commercially sharp, with strong negotiation skills and stakeholder influence
- Willingness to travel up to 50%, including regular time with the European team
- Fluent English; a second major European language is a plus
