Qblox is growing fast. Our engineers are building quantum computer control stacks that push the boundaries of physics, which means the internal IT infrastructure and intellectual property you are protecting here is genuinely fascinating.
If you are working in a Tier 2/3 IT engineering role right now, you might be spending half your week fighting daily user fires because the frontline helpdesk lets too much noise slip through. This isn't that job.
We have a dedicated Business IT Servicedesk that handles day-to-day user tickets. That leaves you to report directly to our IT Engineering Lead and focus almost entirely on high-level infrastructure project work. You will be the Tier 3 escalation point for the complex challenges, but your main focus will be maturing our enterprise endpoint security and stepping up our internal infrastructure to a secure, Zero Trust cloud environment as we scale.
Our IT Engineering Lead is currently handling the high-level strategy for ISO 27001 and NIS2 compliance frameworks. They deal with the corporate policy meetings; your job is to be the hands-on engineer who actually figures out how to build and implement the technical IT controls that back them up.
The 3 Hard Requirements
We aren’t going to list 25 different tools. If you don’t have deep, hands-on experience with these three pillars, the job simply can’t be done:
- Advanced Microsoft Intune & Apple Business Manager Architecture: You need to know MDM inside out. We run a heavily mixed environment of Windows and macOS, and you need to be confident architecting, securing, and pushing complex configuration profiles across both fleets.
- Identity Governance (Microsoft Entra ID / Okta): You must know your way around conditional access policies, SSO integrations, and cloud identity life-cycle management.
- Translating Security Frameworks into Reality: You don’t need to write the compliance policies, but you do need to know how to implement the technical controls that support them—think SIEM configuration, network segregation, and patch management.
