An exciting opportunity for an IT Support Engineer to join a fast-growing organization in The Hague. This hands-on role is ideal for a junior IT professional who enjoys solving technical issues, supporting end users, and ensuring smooth day-to-day IT operations. As a key member of the IT team, you will provide first and second-line support across hardware, software, infrastructure, and workplace technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-second-line technical support, resolving incidents escalated from the Helpdesk and performing root cause analysis on recurring issues.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, Microsoft 365, and Windows-related problems.
- Manage user onboarding and offboarding, including account creation, access management, device provisioning, and IT inductions.
- Configure, deploy, maintain, and replace desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals.
- Support meeting room technology, video conferencing systems, and AV equipment to ensure seamless operation.
- Process service requests including software installations, access requests, hardware provisioning, and licence assignments.
- Maintain accurate asset records and update documentation within the ITSM platform.
- Monitor and manage tickets in line with SLA targets and ITIL best practices.
- Escalate complex issues to specialist teams with clear and complete documentation.
- Contribute to knowledge management by creating troubleshooting guides and support documentation.
Your Profile
- Minimum 12-18 months experience in an IT support role providing first/second-line support.
- Good knowledge of Windows 10/11, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365.
- Hands-on experience with hardware deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Experience working with ITSM ticketing systems in a professional environment.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills.
- Well-organised with excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach.
- ITIL Foundation, Microsoft certifications, or CompTIA qualifications are advantageous.
- Experience supporting AV and video conferencing technologies is beneficial.
- Must have the legal right to work and reside in the EU and the Netherlands.
This position will appeal to somebody with 12 to 18 months of experience who wants to be challenged and can deliver efficient and effective IT support.
This is an initial 3-month assignment with scope for prolongation. Candidates should be available to start by latest Mid-July 2026.
