For our client, an innovative start-up in the events industry, we are looking for a junior Finance and Accounting professional.
The role
As Financial Administrative Associate, you will help build the finance team. In this role, you will work closely with the Finance Manager and play a key role in keeping financial processes running smoothly, ensuring accurate reporting, and contributing to strategic financial planning. This position offers a great opportunity to be part of a fast-growing, international company.
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Processing accounts payable and receivable; ensuring timely payments and accurate recording.
- Reconciling bank statements and credit card summaries.
- Assisting in the preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and cash flow statements.
- Managing and keeping financial databases and spreadsheets up to date.
- Assisting in the preparation and submission of tax forms and documents.
- Supporting month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Responding to financial queries from management and supporting budget monitoring.
- Carrying out general administrative tasks for the finance department.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (HBO) in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Prior experience in a finance or accounting role is a plus.
- Strong skills in Microsoft 365 (particularly Excel and Outlook) and Exact Online.
- Accuracy and attention to detail in data processing.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Good communication skills and a proactive team player.
- Knowledge of financial regulations and accounting principles is a plus.
- Discretion and care when handling confidential financial information.
- Languages: Dutch (conversational) and English (fluent)
