People and Culture Business Partner

About the Opportunity:
A rapidly growing, multi-unit restaurant brand is seeking a People & Culture Business Partner to support its corporate teams. As the People & Culture (P&C) Business Partner, you will serve as a strategic advisor, consultant, and collaborator to our functional leaders and team members. You will bring a people-first mindset and operational acumen to drive initiatives that strengthen engagement, enhance performance, and align talent strategies with business goals. This role is key in building an inclusive, high-performing environment that empowers our Support Center teams to thrive.
This role offers a hybrid work schedule; 3 days in office & 2 days remote each week in the DMV area.
What You’ll Do:
- Act as a trusted advisor and thought partner to leaders, providing guidance on organizational design, team development, and talent planning.
- Partner with leaders to align people strategies with business priorities, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous growth.
- Provide coaching and support on performance management, feedback practices, and leadership development.
- Partner with the Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, and Learning teams to ensure seamless support and alignment for Support Center teams.
- Analyze people data and trends to provide insights and recommendations that improve team engagement, retention, and performance.
- Support and guide employee relations matters with fairness, consistency, and a strong understanding of our values and policies.
- Lead or support organizational change efforts, including restructures, new team launches, and process improvements.
- Champion inclusion, belonging, and equity, ensuring policies and programs reflect these values.
- Identify and drive initiatives that enhance team member experience, career development, and manager effectiveness.
- Collaborate with functional and department leaders to build workforce plans that anticipate future needs and opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and internal policies, partnering with Legal when appropriate.
- Serve as a liaison between Support Center teams and broader People & Culture functions to ensure alignment and responsiveness.
- Lead the rollout of key People initiatives (e.g., engagement surveys, performance cycles, policy updates).
The Qualifications:
Education & Experience
- 5+ years of progressive HR or People & Culture experience, ideally with time spent in a business partner or generalist capacity.
- Experience supporting corporate or support center populations in a high-growth, multi-functional environment.
- Strong business acumen and ability to align people strategies with business goals.
- Excellent interpersonal, influencing, and coaching skills across all levels of an organization.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make actionable recommendations.
- Comfort navigating ambiguity and change while driving clarity and consistency.
- Deep understanding of HR best practices and employment laws.
- Passion for building inclusive, engaging, and values-driven workplaces.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to maintain stationary position to be able to operate a computer and other office equipment
- Must be able to identify, analyze and assess details
- For certain positions, must be able to occasionally move or transport items up to 50 pounds
- Ability to communicate with others and exchange information accurately and effectively
- Constantly positions self and move about to support ordinary restaurant or food production support or office operations, as applicable
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
