Join a high-tech environment where no day is the same. For NXP Semiconductors in Nijmegen, we are looking for an IT On-Site Support Engineer who enjoys working hands-on in a dynamic technical environment and supporting end users onsite.
In this role, you will be the face of IT support on location, ensuring that employees can work smoothly by solving incidents, supporting hardware and network issues, and coordinating with global IT teams.
What will you do?
As an IT On-Site Support Engineer, you will provide first- and second-line IT support and ensure smooth IT operations on site. Your responsibilities include:
- Handling incidents, service requests, onboarding and offboarding activities through ServiceNow
- Installing, configuring and decommissioning laptops, desktops and other IT hardware
- Supporting data migrations and end-user device rollouts
- Providing hands-on support for networking activities such as patching and troubleshooting
- Supporting meeting room technology and audio/video equipment
- Coordinating remote support activities with global IT teams
- Managing inventory and IT stock
- Supporting printer maintenance and troubleshooting
- Assisting VIP users with onsite IT support
- Supporting labs and manufacturing environments where needed
What are we looking for?
We are looking for someone who enjoys solving technical issues and working closely with users in an onsite environment.
Requirements:
- Minimum MBO degree
- At least 2 years of experience in 1st and/or 2nd line IT support
- Experience with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow
- Customer-focused and service-oriented mindset
- Fluent in Dutch and English (Dutch is mandatory)
- Comfortable working fully onsite (5 days per week in Nijmegen)
- Living within approximately 30–40 minutes travel distance from Nijmegen
- Experience supporting lab or tool PCs is a strong plus
What do we offer?
- Fulltime position (40 hours per week)
- Initial contract duration of 12 months, with extension possibilities
