About the Role
An authorised dealership of a leading global electric vehicle (EV) brand is seeking an experienced and results-driven Sales Manager to lead B2C retail operations from its Rotterdam location.
This role is responsible for driving showroom performance, managing the sales team, and ensuring the achievement of sales targets while delivering an exceptional customer experience aligned with premium EV retail standards.
Role Overview
The Sales Manager will oversee all B2C sales activities at the Rotterdam dealership while contributing to the Netherlands sales objectives. The role requires strong leadership, operational excellence, and a data-driven mindset to optimise sales performance, customer conversion, and overall retail efficiency.
This is a key leadership position with direct responsibility for revenue growth, team development, and market expansion within the Dutch EV sector.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Performance & Strategy
- Lead and manage daily B2C sales operations at the Rotterdam showroom
- Develop and execute local sales strategies aligned with national objectives
- Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets
- Monitor KPIs, including lead conversion, test drive ratios, order intake, and delivery performance
- Prepare sales forecasts and performance reports
Team Leadership & Development
- Recruit, train, and coach sales consultants
- Create a high-performance, target-driven sales culture
- Conduct regular performance reviews and implement improvement plans
- Motivate and mentor the team to maximise productivity and customer satisfaction
Customer Experience & Brand Standards
- Ensure a premium, seamless customer journey from first contact to vehicle delivery
- Maintain strict compliance with brand retail standards and operational guidelines
- Optimise CRM usage, lead management processes, and follow-up strategies
- Resolve escalated customer issues professionally and efficiently
Operations & Collaboration
- Collaborate closely with Marketing, After-Sales, and Operations teams
- Support local campaigns, product launches, and promotional activities
- Maintain inventory alignment and ensure smooth order-to-delivery coordination
- Report performance and market insights to senior leadership
Market Development
- Identify opportunities to grow local market share in the Netherlands
- Monitor competitor activity and EV market trends
- Strengthen partnerships within the local business community
Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in automotive B2C sales
- At least 2–3 years in a sales leadership or showroom management role
- Experience with EV or premium automotive brands is strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of automotive retail KPIs and CRM systems
- Excellent leadership, coaching, and communication skills
- Commercially driven with strong analytical and forecasting abilities
- Fluent in Dutch and English (written and spoken)
