We’re looking for an experienced and passionate Sponsorship Activation Manager to join our global Brand Marketing team in Amsterdam. In this role, you’ll help build the INTERSPORT brand on a global scale by developing, managing, and activating best‑in‑class partnerships and sponsorships. This includes identifying strategic partnership opportunities, developing and managing a central partnership group database, negotiating favourable contract terms, fostering strong partner relationships, and bringing partnerships to life through compelling global activation plans that support our ambition to be at the Heart of Sport as the Global leader in local sport.
The Sponsorship Activation Manager ensures that all partnerships and sponsorships - across rights holders, federations, clubs, events, athletes, and other relevant entities - are leveraged consistently, creatively, and effectively to enhance brand equity, drive consumer engagement, and support our commercial, local and category objectives.
What you'll do:
Partnership Strategy & Development
- Develop and evolve INTERSPORT’s global sponsorship and partnership strategy in line with our brand ambitions and long-term business goals.
- Identify and evaluate new partnership opportunities across sport, events, athletes, federations, clubs, and other relevant platforms.
- Collaborate with internal teams and local markets to ensure partnerships align with consumer insights, category priorities, and brand positioning.
Global Sponsorship Activation
- Lead the end-to-end activation of sponsorships and partnerships across campaigns, retail, digital, social media, events, and experiential moments.
- Create global toolkits, playbooks, and activation guidelines that support strong and consistent execution across markets.
- Work closely with creative, marketing, retail, and digital teams to maximize the impact of sponsorships across all channels.
- Support athlete appearances, global tournaments, partnership events, and brand-led activations.
Relationship & Stakeholder Management
- Act as the main point of contact for key global partners, agencies, rights holders, and internal stakeholders.
- Build strong, collaborative relationships that drive long-term value for both INTERSPORT and our partners.
- Lead partnership negotiations alongside Legal and Finance teams to secure strong commercial and brand opportunities.
Performance & Insights
- Measure and report on partnership performance using key KPIs such as brand visibility, engagement, and ROI.
- Use insights and data to continuously improve sponsorship strategies and future activations.
- Support the development of dashboards and reporting tools to track partnership success globally.
What you'll bring:
- 6+ years of experience in sponsorship activation, partnership management, sports marketing, or a related field.
- Experience working with sports brands, athletes, rights holders, agencies, or global marketing teams preferred.
- Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- A creative mindset combined with a strategic, data-driven approach.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English (additional languages are a plus).
- A passion for sport, storytelling, consumer engagement, and building memorable brand experiences.
