Senior Human Resources Manager

Ferny is a rapidly growing women’s health and fertility organization with multiple locations across New York City. As we continue to scale, we are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Human Resources Manager to lead and strengthen our HR operations across the organization.
This is a high-impact leadership role for a candidate who is both strategic and hands-on. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing HR operations in a fast-paced environment, leading teams, implementing organizational processes, and driving operational improvements across multiple departments.
The Senior HR Manager will oversee core human resources functions including employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, performance management, compliance, payroll coordination, benefits administration, policy implementation, and HR analytics. This individual will also play a key role in helping lead the organization’s transition to a new payroll and HR platform, while helping establish scalable systems and reporting metrics to support continued growth.
Experience in the medical or healthcare field is strongly preferred, although not mandatory.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day HR operations across multiple clinic locations
- Lead employee relations initiatives and provide guidance to managers and leadership regarding HR matters
- Manage recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and retention efforts across clinical and administrative departments
- Supervise and support HR staff and administrative personnel
- Help lead the transition and implementation of a new payroll and HR management platform
- Develop and track HR metrics, KPIs, workforce analytics, turnover trends, and operational reporting
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and HR regulations
- Oversee benefits administration, leave management, performance reviews, disciplinary processes, and HR documentation
- Assist leadership with organizational planning, staffing strategy, and process optimization
- Create and improve HR policies, workflows, and internal procedures as the organization scales
- Partner closely with executive leadership on operational and personnel initiatives
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of Human Resources experience required
- Minimum 3 years in a management or leadership role required
- Strong experience managing HR operations in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with payroll systems implementation and HRIS platforms strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of HR compliance, labor laws, employee relations, and performance management
- Excellent organizational, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and departments simultaneously
- Healthcare or medical practice experience preferred but not required
Compensation & Benefits
Salary Range: $140,000 – $180,000 annually, depending on experience
