This role provides strategic and hands‑on leadership across all HR functions, overseeing the full employee lifecycle and partnering closely with organizational leadership to ensure people practices are compliant, effective, and aligned with the organization’s values and goals. The HR Director serves as a trusted advisor to leaders and staff, supporting an equity‑centered, flexible, and family‑friendly workplace while strengthening systems, policies, and day‑to‑day HR operations.

- Salary range: $76,000 – $88,899
Responsibilities
- Lead all HR operations, serving as the primary resource for employee relations, policy guidance, compliance, benefits, and HR best practices
- Oversee HRIS administration, personnel records, audits, and process improvements to ensure accuracy, compliance, and positive employee experience
- Partner with organizational leaders to implement HR policies, manage change, and align people practices with organizational priorities
- Guide equitable recruitment, hiring, and onboarding practices in collaboration with managers and the HR Coordinator
- Develop and refine talent acquisition strategies to support workforce planning and long-term organizational needs
- Administer performance management processes, including review cycles, goal setting, and professional development support
- Advise managers on performance concerns, coaching strategies, and risk mitigation, including Performance Improvement Plans
- Manage employee offboarding, unemployment responses, and employment verification, while supporting succession planning and business continuity
- Embed CCA’s mission, values, and equity commitments into all HR systems, practices, and decision-making
Qualifications
- 4+ of progressively responsible experience in human resources, with exposure across the full employee lifecycle
- Human resources experience in a nonprofit environment preferred
- At least two years of experience supervising, coaching, or mentoring staff
- Strong working knowledge of core HR functions, including onboarding, compliance, employee relations, and policy development
- Experience administering an HRIS and using systems to improve efficiency and data accuracy (BambooHR experience preferred)
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to provide clear, thoughtful guidance to staff and leadership
- High degree of professionalism, judgment, and discretion, with a demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality
- Demonstrated intercultural competency and ability to work effectively across diverse backgrounds and perspectives
