Job Summary
The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) serves as a strategic partner to assigned business units, aligning people strategies with business objectives. The HRBP provides consultative HR support to leaders and employees, focusing on talent management, employee relations, organizational effectiveness, and change management while ensuring compliance with employment laws and company policies.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Business Partnership
- Partner with leaders to understand business goals and translate them into effective people strategies
- Provide workforce insights, coaching, and recommendations to improve performance and engagement
- Participate in business planning discussions as a people strategy advisor
Employee Relations & Performance Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations matters, including coaching leaders, conducting investigations, and resolving issues
- Support performance management processes, including goal setting, feedback, corrective action, and performance improvement plans
- Ensure consistent and fair application of policies and practices
Talent Management & Development
- Partner with leaders on talent planning, succession planning, and development strategies
- Support onboarding, employee development, and retention initiatives
- Identify performance and capability gaps and recommend targeted solutions
Change Management & Organizational Effectiveness
- Support organizational change initiatives such as restructures, growth, or process improvement
- Facilitate effective communication during times of change
- Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
- Partner with leaders on ADA, FMLA, and other leave‑related matters
- Maintain accurate documentation and support audits and reporting as needed
Culture, Engagement & Inclusion
- Champion company values and employee engagement initiatives
- Support diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts within assigned business units
- Act as a trusted, approachable resource for employees and managers
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 3-5 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in an HR Business Partner or generalist role
- Strong working knowledge of employment law and employee relations best practices
- Proven ability to influence, coach, and partner with leaders
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM‑CP, or SHRM‑SCP)
- Experience supporting leaders in a fast‑paced or operational environment
- HRIS and data‑driven decision‑making experience
