Job Description
The HR Coordinator is responsible for managing the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding and offboarding processes, preparing offer letters, coordinating new hire setup, and maintaining accurate employee records across systems. The position supports payroll and timesheet review under HR Manager oversight, administers benefits and open enrollment activities, and ensures data accuracy and compliance with HR processes. Additionally, the role serves as a key point of contact for employee inquiries, assists with interview coordination by documenting and summarizing candidate discussions, and tracks compliance requirements while supporting employee relations through fact-finding and documentation.
Responsibilities
HR Operations & Administration
- Manage onboarding and offboarding processes end to end (paperwork, systems, access)
- Prepare offer letters and coordinate new hire setup
- Maintain accurate employee records across systems
- Support employee initiatives and training rollouts
Payroll & Benefits Administration
- Review timesheets and prepare payroll submissions
- Administer payroll processing under HR Manager oversight
- Handle day-to-day benefits questions and enrollment changes
- Assist with open enrollment logistics and vendor communications
HRIS (Operational Ownership Post-Launch)
- Support HRIS implementation
- Own ongoing system administration, updates, and reporting
- Ensure data accuracy and process adherence
Employee Support & Compliance
- Respond to general HR questions and routine employee inquiries
- Track compliance items (training completion, documentation)
- Support employee relations through fact-gathering and documentation
- Support employee initiatives and training rollouts
Experience and Skills
- 2–4+ years of experience in HR operations or a similar HR coordinator role, including onboarding/offboarding and employee lifecycle support
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate records and ensure data integrity across systems
- Solid understanding of HR compliance, documentation, and handling sensitive information confidentially
- Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills, with the ability to support employees and coordinate across teams and vendors
- Working knowledge of payroll and benefits administration (timesheets, payroll support, enrollments, employee inquiries)
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- A love of fashion and Varley as a brand and company.
- Be able to think logically, use common sense and a service-minded approach to dealing with issues as they arise.
- Ability to be calm under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Initiative to escalate issues appropriately and handle decisions in a responsible way.
- Ability to manage time effectively.
