Position Summary: The Cybersecurity Analyst is responsible for protecting the organization’s information systems, networks, and data from cyber threats. This role proactively monitors security events, identifies vulnerabilities, investigates incidents, and implements security controls to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in cloud-based environments—particularly Microsoft Azure—and brings a strong foundation in cybersecurity best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents across on‑premises and cloud environments
- Identify, assess, and remediate security vulnerabilities and risks
- Support the implementation and maintenance of security tools, policies, and controls
- Conduct security investigations and incident response activities, including root cause analysis and reporting
- Collaborate with IT and business teams to ensure secure system designs and configurations
- Assist with security assessments, audits, and compliance requirements
- Maintain awareness of emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and industry trends
- Document security procedures, incident reports, and recommended improvements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (required)
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in cybersecurity, information security, or a related IT security role
- Experience working in Microsoft Azure environments, including security monitoring and configuration
- Knowledge of security frameworks, best practices, and common threat vectors
- Familiarity with tools such as SIEMs, endpoint protection platforms, and vulnerability scanning tools
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond effectively to security incidents
Physical Requirements:
- Office environment with normal business hours necessary to satisfactorily perform job functions.
- Stationary Position – Must be able to remain in a stationary position up to 50% of the time.
- Move or Traverse – This position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, meeting rooms, office machinery, etc. May occasionally ascends/descends the stairs to get to other floors, cafeteria and parking area.
- Dexterity – constantly operates a computer and other office machinery such as a copy machine/printer.
- Move, Transport, Position, Put, Install, Remove - Occasionally moves supplies weighing up to 10 pounds for various presentation and event needs.
