Our SaaS client is looking for a People Operations Coordinator to join thier team on a remote 6-month fixed term contract. Although it's remote ONLY candidates on the East coast will be considered for this role.
In this role, you'll support a wide variety of projects focused on their People team tooling, employee data, and compliance, and will work closely with Payroll, Legal, IT, Internal Tools, and our People Partners to build seamless experiences for our internal customers and ensure the accuracy of our employee data and reporting. You'll use your eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and tireless commitment to process improvement to implement programs that help all.
What You'll Do:
- Background Check Management: Follow up on pending checks, verify completion status, maintain recruiting partner relationships, and escalate delays
- Contingent Worker Onboarding: Collect required information, initiate background checks, send welcome communications, and coordinate start dates with managers
- Offboarding & Transitions: Manage CW departures, verify contract status, update systems, and initiate workflows.
- Conversions & Status Changes: Process full-time to part-time conversions, contractor modifications, and vendor communications.
- Internal Operations: Handle internal hires and all HRIS updates.
- Administrative Support: Assist with ticket management and documentation maintenance.
Qualifications:
- 2-5 years of professional experience (no fresh college grads; 5+ years may be too senior)
-Startup experience strongly preferred - you must be scrappy, comfortable with ambiguity, and able to work without fully defined processes
- Experience at high-growth organizations (not 7+ years at a single large tech company like Meta)
- Extreme attention to detail - precision is non-negotiable in this role
- Ability to move very quickly with very high accuracy
- Excellent organizational skills (you'll receive hundreds of emails daily)
- Strong communication skills and team collaboration
- C omfortable working extensively with spreadsheets and data sets
- Process improvement mindset - always thinking "how can we do this better/faster?"
- AI-focused mindset - interested in automation and leveraging technology
- Organized and detail-oriented, with excellent professional judgment. You will manage time-sensitive and critical processes related to compensation, performance, and compliance, and handle our employee data with the utmost care ensuring accuracy as well as privacy
