Position Summary
This role combines core human resources responsibilities with high-level administrative support to the General Manager. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment. You will play a critical role in supporting organizational growth, enhancing employee experience, and ensuring smooth executive operations.
Key Responsibilities
Human Resources (Primary)
- Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, including job postings, candidate screening, interview coordination, and onboarding.
- Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws
- Administer HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook updates.
- Support performance management processes and employee engagement initiatives
- Coordinate training and development programs.
- Handle employee relations matters with professionalism and confidentiality.
- Assist with payroll coordination, benefits administration, and HR reporting.
Administrative Support to General Manager (Secondary)
- Provide high-level administrative support to the GM, including calendar management, meeting coordination, and travel arrangements.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and internal communications on behalf of the GM.
- Assist in tracking key business initiatives and follow-ups across departments.
- Support executive meetings, including agenda preparation, minutes, and action tracking.
- Act as a liaison between the GM and internal/external stakeholders.
- Handle confidential business information with discretion.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3 years of experience in HR and/or executive administrative roles, preferably in biotech, life sciences, or a fast-growing startup environment.
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices and employment regulations.
- Excellent organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- High level of integrity and ability to handle sensitive information.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a high-growth biotech or healthcare company
- Familiarity with multi-state HR compliance (U.S.)
- Experience supporting C-level executives
- Bilingual (e.g., English/Mandarin) is a plus
