Position Summary

This role combines core human resources responsibilities with high-level administrative support to the General Manager. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment. You will play a critical role in supporting organizational growth, enhancing employee experience, and ensuring smooth executive operations.

Key Responsibilities

Human Resources (Primary)

Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, including job postings, candidate screening, interview coordination, and onboarding.
Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws
Administer HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook updates.
Support performance management processes and employee engagement initiatives
Coordinate training and development programs.
Handle employee relations matters with professionalism and confidentiality.
Assist with payroll coordination, benefits administration, and HR reporting.

Administrative Support to General Manager (Secondary)

Provide high-level administrative support to the GM, including calendar management, meeting coordination, and travel arrangements.
Prepare reports, presentations, and internal communications on behalf of the GM.
Assist in tracking key business initiatives and follow-ups across departments.
Support executive meetings, including agenda preparation, minutes, and action tracking.
Act as a liaison between the GM and internal/external stakeholders.
Handle confidential business information with discretion.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
3 years of experience in HR and/or executive administrative roles, preferably in biotech, life sciences, or a fast-growing startup environment.
Strong knowledge of HR best practices and employment regulations.
Excellent organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
High level of integrity and ability to handle sensitive information.
Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in a high-growth biotech or healthcare company
Familiarity with multi-state HR compliance (U.S.)
Experience supporting C-level executives
Bilingual (e.g., English/Mandarin) is a plus
