As part of the Global Marketing team for Danone Specialised Nutrition, the Marketing Manager for New Formats innovation acts as the business & marketing lead for format innovations. The role focuses on bringing to market a new format innovation, delivering strong consumer value proposition, ensuring timely, high-quality delivery in close collaboration with global and local stakeholders.
This position plays a pivotal role in connecting marketing strategy with consumer, user and shopper insights and learnings from existing pilot markets as well as operational requirements to ensure new format solutions strengthen our brands and drive sustainable business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Strategy & Marketing Leadership
- Lead the marketing and business format strategy for your particular innovation to secure and drive category growth agenda
- Finalise the consumer and brand value proposition and validation studies to ensure readiness for gate change and CBU briefing
- Build robust, fact-based business cases in partnership with Finance and Local CBU teams to guide project prioritization and investment decisions.
- Provide clear marketing inputs and guardrails to ensure innovations align with global brand platforms and consumer expectations.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration & Project Integration
- Act as the marketing point of contact for cross-functional teams within the innovation project (R&I, Sustainability, Operations, Procurement, and Design).
- Ensure all marketing-related activities (concept testing, claims development, packaging design, communication readiness, etc.) are executed on time, within budget and with excellence.
- Collaborate with Country Business Units (CBUs) to ensure market relevance, readiness, and successful translation of global innovations into local activation plans.
- Portfolio & Brand Impact
- Support the integration of new pack format within the existing brand and portfolio strategy working with brand team and sales team to anticipate brand storytelling and positioning implications + trade sell-in.
Experience & Background
- 10 years of experience in marketing and innovation roles, preferably within early life nutrition category
- Proven experience in innovation into new formats, at global or regional level.
- Strong understanding of consumer insights, brand equity, and business model creation
- Experience in baby category preferred
- Experience collaborating across global-local teams and multifunctional project environments.
