The role
As Senior Controller, you are a pivotal finance leader, responsible for the integrity, governance, and interpretation of US GAAP and local financial reporting for assigned entities.
You act as a trusted advisor to the business, providing insight, challenge, and decision support across finance partners, business functions, and global organizations. You will lead interactions with senior stakeholders—including business units, divisional leaders, tax and legal teams, regulators, and auditors—representing finance with credibility and authority.
You will also supervise and develop a team of four Accounting Controllers, ensuring consistent, high-quality execution across all reporting and control activities.
This role reports to the Regional Hub Finance Manager.
Key responsibilities
- End-to-end ownership of Income Statement and Balance Sheet for assigned entities
- Ensure timely and accurate US GAAP and local reporting
- Regularly review P&L and balance sheet, providing insights and managing expectations
- Apply Principle Based Management™ to develop team capabilities and encourage ownership
- Provide operational support and guidance to the team as needed
- Lead or participate in finance transformation, integration, and process optimization projects
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with key finance stakeholders
- Act as the primary finance advisor for business partners, translating results into actionable insights
- Drive operational excellence by coaching on process execution
- Identify and lead finance process improvement initiatives in alignment with business partners
- Accountable for accurate periodic corporate reporting and final approval of statutory filings
- Manage operational tax-related queries from the business
Your profile
- Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Controlling; post-Master Accountancy preferred (RA or CPA)
- 5–10 years of relevant experience in corporate multinational finance
- Experience supervising teams
- Familiarity with Shared Service Center operations
- Experience in finance transformation or process improvement projects
- Strong system knowledge (SAP preferred); IT optimization project experience is a plus
- Solid understanding of US GAAP, local GAAP, and tax accounting principles
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
