Overview:
Dagen is recruiting a long-term contract Recruiting Coordinator for a chemicals company in Central Houston. This role will support the recruiting team by managing day-to-day coordination of the hiring process and ensuring a smooth, positive experience for candidates and hiring managers. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle a high volume of work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruiting Coordination & Support
- Partner with Sourcers, Recruiters, and Hiring Managers to manage the full recruitment process, including job postings, candidate tracking, interview logistics, and invoice processing
- Schedule high-volume, complex interviews (virtual, phone, and onsite) across multiple calendars, time zones, and stakeholders
- Coordinate candidate travel, accommodations, interview day logistics, expense tracking, and reimbursements
- Prepare and distribute interview schedules, guides, and candidate materials ahead of interviews
- Assist with post-interview debriefs, collect feedback, and ensure timely candidate updates and dispositioning
Onboarding & HR Support
- Work closely with HR Operations and Onboarding to support pre-employment steps such as background checks, drug screens, and reference checks
- Assist with onboarding coordination and ensure new hires are ready to start (HR, IT, Payroll, etc.)
- Support recruiting events, career fairs, university recruiting, and internal hiring initiatives
Reporting, Data & Analytics
- Run and maintain recruiting reports to track productivity, pipeline activity, and hiring results
- Audit ATS and HR system data for accuracy and identify any issues
- Use Excel (pivot tables, formulas, lookups, charts) to analyze recruiting data
- Partner with HR Analytics or HRIS teams on dashboards and reporting as needed
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 3+ years of experience in recruiting coordination, HR operations, or talent acquisition support
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially advanced Excel
- Experience with an Applicant Tracking System (Workday preferred)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Strong customer service mindset with the ability to communicate professionally with candidates and internal teams
Additional Qualifications (Preferred):
- Experience with recruiting analytics or workforce data
- Background supporting corporate or campus recruiting programs
- Familiarity with compliance or audit processes
- Experience working with geographically distributed or hybrid teams
